The Saint Andrew Primitive Baptist Church celebrated revival and evangelistic services with Pastor Donald Hayes of the Oakland Baptist Church, Alexandria, VA, ministering the word of God.  Pastor Hayes challenged and encouraged the congregation each night by reminding us that as a redeemed people, “You Have Got to Follow God’s Plan to Get God’s Results”, and that we must have the proper plan, and we must be the proper people, and we must use the proper procedures, and we must have the proper perspective to get God’s results.  Pastor Hayes challenged us to answer the question, “Is Anyone Concerned That St. Andrew Exists?” and that as converted, courageous, and committed people of God we are different and we can make a difference.  He reminded us that our mission is, “A Rescue Mission”, and that God has given us the mission, the methods, the motivation and means to rescue and recovery folk, according to his working, which he works mightily in us, to rescue people.  Pastor Hayes continued by reminding us and challenging us to, "Practice What We Preach", by being grounded in the word, and by growing in faith, and by being thankful. Pastor Hayes concluded the services by reminding us that we are to be, "Abounding, Not Astounding" and that we are to be steadfast, consistently moving forward; unmovable, constant, standing firm in our faith; and always abounding, going beyond what we ask or think in the work of the Lord because it is God 's power who worketh in us. We indeed give thanks to God for the fervent and effectual preaching of the word that reminded us that we can do more through Christ than we think we can do.
