Under the vision of Pastor Hartwell the St. Andrew family held it’s 1st Children Church Sunday, September 5, 2010.  St. Andrew’s  morning worship began with welcoming  7 new members in Christian fellowship.  One uniting through Christian experience and  6 new converts  in Christ publicly expressing their faith through water baptism.  The Youth of St. Andrew were in charge of worship from devotion, welcome and altar call.  The Children’s choir ages 11 and under lead song praise with “This little light of mine” and “The Jesus in me” before being dismissed for Children’s  Church.  The Youth choir continued uplifting songs of praise with “Like the dew in the morning” lead by Akasha McCartney and “Victory, I’ve got the victory” lead by Jada Lewis.  The 1st Children Worship subject was “Where is God?  Memory verse: You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart, coming from Jeremiah 29:13.  Bro. Larry and Sis. Serena Rogers lead the Children’s Worship.   The children were welcomed and introduced in a simple and fun approach.  The meaning of giving/offering was explained.  Minister Buford Moore gave the 1st Children Worship sermon. Minister Moore’s message to the children was “Seeking God is like looking for that favorite toy that you love.  You keep looking for it until you find it.  You keep seeking  God through prayer.  Following the sermon the children took part in bible lesson songs,  games, arts and crafts, and refreshments.   There were 24 children in attendance.  We give thanks to God for this new ministry and for the addition to our church family.  It was joyous day in the Lord.  To God Be the Glory!    Submitted by Lorna Rice & Lena Andrews
