 1st Sunday Message for 2010 - It’s Worth It Part 2!

St. Andrew began the 1st Sunday worship service celebrating four candidates for Baptism.  The Congregation sang “Take me to the water to be baptized” as Sister Kawaysia King, Sister Sarah Clem, Brother Darrius King, and Brother Steven Burruss came forward to be baptized.   St. Andrew also welcomed new members Sister Cindy Baker, Sister Delicia Moore and Minister Buford Moore .   The Youth of the Church were in charge of worship service.    Pastor Hartwell brought the 1st Sunday message  entitled “ It’s Worth It”.  “Getting it right”.  It’s worth it.   It’s worth it being steadfast and unmoveable always abounding in the work of the Lord.  One must humble themselves and be willing to allow God to step in and use them.  We must give our children back to God and allow them to be used as well.  We must do the work of the Lord.  O Lord how excellent is thy name.  I will continue to worship and glorify you.  For I know your word will not return void.  Tomorrow, tomorrow I will surrender.  No man knows the day nor the hour the Lord will surely come.    Get it right today for tomorrow may be too late.  God gave his only son so that we may have eternal life.   “It Is Worth It To Get It Right.”  Your reward is eternal life in heaven.  No man can give you what the lord has in store for you so it is worth it to hold on and get it right today for tomorrow may be too late.  Pastor Hartwell took his message from 1 Corinthians 15:58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
